The white tea base stays surprisingly light and floral, so the bergamot doesn't overpower it like in classic black Earl Greys. Brewed a bit cooler than boiling and it’s become my afternoon go-to, especially since the citrus note feels more zesty than sharp.
The bergamot comes through brighter here than in any black tea version I've tried, and it lets the white tea's floral side actually shine instead of getting buried. I brewed it a bit cooler than boiling and the cup stayed light and crisp, not a hint of bitterness.
I usually find white tea too delicate, but the sparkly bergamot here gives it just enough punch. It steeps up light and floral without any of the heaviness I get from black tea versions.
