The roasted rice gives it this almost nutty, toasty sweetness that balances the grassy sencha perfectly. I've been brewing it a bit cooler and it's become my afternoon comfort cup, warm and slightly savory.

I usually drink straight sencha, but this genmaicha with its sweet roasted rice and the grassy edge of the sencha is a combo I didn't know I needed. The toasty aroma alone fills the whole kitchen when I steep it.

The balance between the sweet roasted rice and the fresh sencha is spot on, it's become my afternoon ritual. I keep going back for that gentle, nutty aroma that fills the cup.
